MOXI™ laser by Sciton for skin rejuvenation - revitalize your skin with Sciton's MOXI™ treatments at Defiance Health

Patients around the world love MOXI—the gentle yet powerful 1927nm fractionated laser designed with everyone in mind.

MOXI™ by Sciton is an ideal treatment for patients who want to delay the appearance of aging or those looking to maintain beautiful skin with little to no downtime or discomfort.

In a quick 8-10 minute procedure, MOXI™ comfortably delivers non-ablative laser energy to correct the initial signs of sun damage and aging—no matter the season or skin type—for a glowing and clear complexion.

Sciton MOXI™ is intended for the treatment of actinic keratosis, and treatment of benign pigmented lesions such as, but not limited to lentigos (age spots), solar lentigos (sun spots) andephelides (freckles), and other dermatological conditions, clinical results may vary in different skin types.

This fractional laser works on the principle of fractional photo thermolysis (the use of light produced by lasers to heat damage). It heats the water in the epidermis and dermal layer of the skin resulting in Microscopic Treatment Zones (MTZ) of non-ablated tissue. This combination allows for fractionated skin treatments resulting in a cosmetic improvement in pigmentation, tone and texture of skin as well as other effects of photoaging.

MOXI™ can be used on all skin types, all year round with appropriate sun prevention and sunscreen use.

Results & Recovery

Patients may begin to see results from Sciton MOXI within a week of the treatment, with continued improvement over several weeks as collagen production increases. There is minimal downtime or recovery associated with Sciton MOXI™, with most patients able to return to their regular activities immediately after the procedure.

You can apply makeup 24 hours post-treatment. Your face may appear pink, but this should subside within a day or two. Depending on the level of your treatment, you may also notice tiny dots if you look closely. These micro-dots, called MENDS, appear where the laser was applied. As these microscopic injuries heal over days three to seven, they may darken and feel rough before flaking away, unveiling a visibly brighter and smoother complexion.

After treatment, patients should avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen regularly to protect the treated area. Your provider will provide specific instructions on aftercare and maintenance, including the use of a medical grade skincare program to aid in the recovery process and enhance results.
