Typical health insurance is generally “disease insurance,” not disease-prevention insurance or "healthy" insurance. Our services are generally not covered by medical insurance including Medicare or Medicaid, & therefore we accept cash/credit for services only. Many patients do use their HSA/FSA account, as some expenses incurred may be qualified.
For those with insurance coverage, we can provide you with an invoice of services (a superbill) for you to submit to your insurance provider. Any costs that are covered by your HSA/FSA or insurance company will be determined by your insurance provider and/or based on your particular coverage plan.
We pride ourselves on providing fully transparent, direct, & affordable pricing with no hidden fees or later charges. Because insurance coverage can be so variable & often takes weeks to months to reconcile, our packages & pricing structures are designed to offer cost, time, & "headache" savings.
*IMPORTANT: Defiance Health cannot provide service to individuals covered under Medicare or Medicaid for services which those entities will pay for--this includes health screenings, labs, vaccines, medications, and etc. per United States Medicare Law.
We do encourage you to discuss your needs with your primary care provider. They may refer you to us or you may feel compelled to seek our specialty services, in which case we are eager to assist you further. At this time, our services do not replace your primary care needs.
Physicians & other healthcare providers will often refer their patients to us for services within our specialty. It's our pleasure to share medical records with your primary care provider as requested to ensure continuity of care, & we consider it a great privilege to participate in your healthcare.
We may also request medical records from your other providers, in which case we will have you complete a form in your patient portal so we can fax it to their office.
